In 2023, Simone Forti was awarded the Venice Biennale’s Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement. This was a long due recognition for the artist’s outstanding contribute to the consolidation of movement as a practice that brought together the disciplines of dance, performance, drawing and sculpture. This survey documents the unique ways in which Forti performed and danced the world news from the decade of 1980 onwards.
